Getting Started

Welcome to YouClaw — your smartest AI personal assistant. This guide will help you get up and running in minutes.

Prerequisites

  • macOS 12+ or Windows 11 (64-bit) or later
  • An Anthropic API Key (to power AI capabilities)

Step 1: Download & Install

Head to the Download page and choose the version for your device:

  • macOS (Apple Silicon) — For Mac with M1 / M2 / M3 / M4 chips
  • macOS (Intel) — For Mac with Intel chips
  • Windows (x64) — For 64-bit Windows 11 or later

Double-click the installer and follow the prompts to complete installation.

Step 2: Configure API Key

After launching YouClaw for the first time, configure your Anthropic API Key:

  1. Visit Anthropic to register an account
  2. Create an API Key in the console
  3. Open YouClaw settings and paste your API Key

Step 3: Start Chatting

You're all set! Start chatting with YouClaw right away. Try these:

  • "Summarize my to-dos every morning at 9 AM"
  • "Summarize the key points of this paper"
  • "Write a Python script to process a CSV file"
